Currently, the two pulsar backends are attached to the incoherent array output of the GAC :
1.The search processor which preintegrates the data to a desired sampling rate, subtracts long term running mean of each frequency channel and provides 1-bit samples to the data acquisition computer.
2.The DSP patform provides full multi bit data at fast sampling rates.
For coherent array output of the GAC :
1.An inverse FFT followed by a DSP processor which will be used for coherent de-dispersion and providing an output for VLBI recording.
2.A polarimeter.
All sections of the pulsar receiver are controlled by a oulsar master console program with a graphical user friendly interface that runs on a UNIX workstation. The data are acquired on Pentium computers using high speed PCI data acquisition cards, and are transferred to the UNIX workstation for offline analysis and storage.
