About Myself

I did Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Nirma Institute of Technology, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and Master of Technology in Electronics Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. Prior to going GMRT, I worked at eInfochips as engineer in the ASIC division from April 2005 to September 2009. Since December 2009, I am working as Senior Engineer, Digital Backend Group, Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). GMRT is national project of the Government of India and is a unit of the National Centre of Radio Astrophysics of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).

I have 15 years of professional experience (five years in industry and ten in research) in the areas of digital system design and algorithms for signal processing. In the initial phase of my career (up to 2009), I worked on System-on-Chip designs, verification and development of Intellectual Property (IP) core for various digital subsystems. Subsequently, I worked on development and commissioning of interference mitigation and multi-element beamforming system for a radio telescope. I am leading a team of engineers and technical staff members and have supervised engineering interns. I have published my professional work in the form of papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributed/invited talks at various national and international conferences. I was one of the guest editors for a special issue on interference mitigation.
