Thermal Radio Emission

When non-relativistic electrons collide they produce thermal emission. The speed with which the electrons move is decided by the kinetic temperature. Since matter has heat energy stored in it, atoms vibrate, emitting electromagnetic radiation. Hence the amount of radiation emitted is proportional to the energy stored.
